Hi, I am Jessi.
I am a photographer located in Jacksonville, FL. I specialize in all things couples and families. I absolutely love to photograph weddings, they have so many small details that I can capture that are unique to each couple; plus I'm a hopeless romantic. I also love family sessions! I have 8 years of experience when it comes to photographing kids. I have worked for three different studios and studied film photography 13 years ago in high school. I have had a camera in my hand since my freshman year and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Why did you name your business Amethyst from Ash?
Amethyst is formed when lava cools creating cavities that host the perfect environment for quartz to grow. Once the cavities have been formed flowing water containing minerals lays the foundation and quartz begins to grow. As time goes on they experience many environmental changes that strengthen and transform the crystals into the beautiful shape and colors we see. We humans are just like these insanely beautiful crystals. Our experiences transform and strengthen us and fill us with the most beautiful colors and patterns. We learn to laugh and love even through the hardest of times. I believe that we all have immense beauty not only on the outside but also inside of us. I want my work to reflect my clients and who they are as people and their personalities. Anyone can capture a photograph but I want to capture you.
